Last week we brought you the awesome work of Steven O’Neil on BA (Hons) Graphic Design, you can see that post here: Friday Feature: Steven O’Neil

This week we’ve got our mini-interview with Steven as well has his brand new website!

BUMF: What are you working on at the moment?

Steven: I’m currently building a website from my previous work. In the summer I’m going to do my second internship at Rose Design in London. I worked there last summer and want to get as much experience as I can.

BUMF: What led you to making the new library system idea we featured last week?

Steven: We were set a brief of making a pre-existing thing interactive. I had a bit of an idea so went to the AUB library to get some books out but couldn’t locate any that I wanted. The idea of the re-designed library book tracking system stemmed from that. I interviewed other students to gather their opinions on the library system and they all seemed to be wanting a reform to the current dewey numbers system.

BUMF: Can you tell us what you like about AUB?

Steven: I like AUB because it’s much smaller and more personal than the other uni’s I looked at. I like the social and communal atmosphere we get in a work environment. It’s nice to just sit round a table and be creative with a group of course mates.
