Process – a journey book

Steven O’Neill is a Level 5 BA (Hons) in Graphic Design design student at Arts University Bournemouth. He made this process book to showcase the last 55 days of the Visual Systems unit. This print was designed to take you through a journey of his process since Tuesday 28th September 2015.

The unit consists of three core assignments, an industry visit, a competition brief and various other days of the process. The assignments featured a portrait of Arts University Bournemouth, a wayfinding system for people with dementia and the week leading up to my pitch to Good Energy’s marketing team. The print also featured a visit to the ustwo London design studio, a trip to the Ai Weiwei exhibition and my submission for the Smint UK poster competition.

As the end of the first Level 5 unit drew to a close we were given a new brief to showcase the work from the past 55 days. Not only were we urged to show visuals but also to take our reader through a journey of our thought processes and informed decision making which lead us to the end of each individual assignment.
